Christmas

Okay, so I realize I'm really late to post
Christmas photos. But I wanted to get
these up before the end of January!
I'm getting better at setting realistic goals!

The cousins with Grandmum and Granddad.

This is how Bella and I spent most of our time.
I really loved it, can't say the same for Bella!

I got a "baby" for Christmas and LOVE it!

All the mayhem was a lot of fun!

I just sat in the middle of all the action.

It was easier to get to the presents from this angle!

This book was technically for baby #2.
Madeline helped me read it. Someone had
to enjoy it since #2 isn't here yet!

Isabelle showed me how to channel
the Force with Samuel's light saber!

I have officially learned the value
of opening drawers and cabinets!
Lots of hidden treasures, just for me : )

I worked on my engineering skills with my
Tegu blocks. Thanks Brandon and Julia!!!

One of my favorite gifts... my giraffe.

We named her Ginger.

I opened Ginger first, and really didn't
want to put her down to open any other gifts.

I had a great Christmas! Sorry I
couldn't document all of my gifts!

Ten Months

I am in the double digits now...

ten months old!
I am BIG STUFF!!!

Let me show you what that means.

On another note, I put my flower on Harrod's head.
For fun and really just because I could.
And so someone else could feel the pain.
He didn't like it, but I thought it was hilarious!

Well, I don't have any stats to share this month.
For the first time, I didn't have any Dr. appts
so all I can say for sure is that I've probably
gotten taller and gained some weight.

Yoga Baby

Yoga is one of my many new skills.

I am most proficient at the "downward dog" pose.

Here I am trying to demonstrate to
Bella my version of the "sun salutation" pose.
It's a little too bright and she is not impressed.

I really think Bella could benefit
from some exercise, so I always
try to include her in my routine.

She doesn't like exercise so she promptly leaves.

So, I figure if she won't do yoga, the least
I can do is give her a vigorous cardio workout.

i.e. I chase her all around the kitchen.

Sometimes she tries to sneak
back to her bed in the sun.

Not on my watch!

BIG SISTER!

I have some news to share...
I am going to be a Big Sister!


Can you sense my excitement? No?

It took me a bit to warm up to the idea.
My first thought was...
"You did WHAT?"

Then I pouted and cried for a bit.
"But I am the center of the universe!"

But I thought it over, and thought some more.

I decided this is going to be great!
I will officially be "big" if there's
another baby around, and I will
always have someone to blame
my mischief on. Win-Win!

Oma and Opa

Oma and Opa came to see me on their way
to and from Michigan for Thanksgiving! I love
when they come to play with me! They couldn't
get over how much I had changed in just 3 weeks!

If there isn't something in my hands,
I am most likely pointing at something!

I just woke up and I didn't want to
waste time doing my hair or changing
out of my pj's before they left.

9 months

So... almost a month ago these pictures were taken!
Where has the time gone?

I can hardly believe I am finally 9 months old!

I have acquired and mastered quite a few skills
in the last month. I crawl super fast and I pull up on
on anything and everything. But my favorite
new trick is to walk around holding on to whatever
happens to be nearby. I like to go on "walks"
holding onto anyone's fingers. I have become
a chatter box, I just jabber away all day! I play
patty-cake, clap, wave hi and bye and say
bye-bye "ba-ba" while waving. At one point it
sounded like I was saying "hi!", but I haven't done
it in a while, so it's debatable. Of course I still say
"ma-ma" and "da-da" and many other sounds.
I love playing peek-a-boo and chasing Bella around!
And... I finally have an upper tooth!
I love being all grown up, its fun being a big girl!

Don't worry Harrod, I will still play with
you even after I turn one and they
stop these ridiculous photo shoots!

9 month stats:
Height: 29 1/4 inches (91%)
Weight: 19 lbs. 7 oz. (55%)
Head: 45 cm (75%)

Christmas Cards

My mommy tells me this is the year she will

send out Christmas cards (apparently, she has
said she would in the past but never does).

We still have to take my Christmas picture,
but I have picked out my dress and mommy tells
me that I will look great in front of the Christmas tree.
I will have to take her word for it since I've never
seen one before. I am sure I will enjoy investigating
said tree and all the pretty lights and bright ornaments!

card that will display my photo. Right now
bloggers (even babies who blog) will get 50 free
cards from Shutterfly by writing a post about it.
Check it out, it's a great deal and since I am my
Daddy's daughter in so many ways, you can only
imagine how I feel about deals and free things!
