How to Hug Charlotte

There is an adorable e-mail going around
called "how to hug a baby"
www.forwardedfunnies.com/how_to_hug_a_baby_001211.html
It is especially cute to those of us who love babies and dogs!
Anyway, it seems to have inspired Bella to show
us that she knows how to "hug" Charlotte!

And yes, I am aware that her IU onesie is too small, but
she had to wear it one last time to get some pictures in it!

Bumbo chairs and Charlotte's feet!

Charlotte is very strong and seems to have been
able to hold her head up and steady from day one.
So we decided it was time to bring out the bumbo chair...
Charlotte loves it and thinks she's pretty hot stuff
to be able to sit up "on her own"!

She has also discovered her feet, which makes taking her
picture a lot more difficult. Unless, of course, you're trying
to document that she found her feet! In that case,
pictures are pretty easy to come by!

This is what I imagine went through her mind...
"Wow, I can sit up on my own!"

"But wait, what are those!?!?
Those things are so cool! I think
they might belong to me!"

"No, really! What are those?"

What a fun baby!

I can't explain how much fun Charlotte and I have
during the day! I am so happy to be able to stay home
with her and enjoy watching her learn and grow!

It's also fun to dress her up! Every morning we
go to her closet and pick out her clothes for the day!
She has exceptional taste!

A bib is now a permanent accessory!
Charlotte is a drooler! I keep looking for
teeth but there are none to be found.
Just a really wet mouth!

Charlotte is two months old!

Well, in reality, Charlotte is ten weeks old, but she
still wanted to celebrate her two month birthday!

Charlotte loves to put her fingers in her mouth!

Cuddling the blanket that Grandmum made her!
You'll probably start to notice that it is very often the
background for a lot of pictures - Charlotte just loves it!

Happy Easter Everybunny!

Charlotte was so excited to pose
for her Easter pictures!

She couldn't wait to show off her newest trick -
blowing bubbles!

She really loved the bunnies!

My favorite picture!

Chin on fist shot - reminds me of a glamour shots pose!

Very dramatic, don't you think!
She was all smiles then suddenly - an absolute melt down!
This has become very normal now, she is having so much
fun playing that she doesn't realize how tired she is until
it overwhelms her! And then you get this mess...

Rubber Ducky, You're the One!

Charlotte at 9 weeks.
She had her two month checkup this week.
She weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz (87%)
and is 24.5 inches long (96%)!

She is so much like her daddy already. She looks
just like him, she's very very long, always
a busybody and she is super chatty!

This is quite possibly one of my favorite pictures of Charlotte!
She really does love bathtime!

Fancy Gowns

Over the course of Easter weekend,
Charlotte had multiple photo-shoots!
All of the outfits held special meaning
- all for different reasons.

Charlotte in a family heirloom Christening gown.
This gown was first worn by my Dad's mother (Vivian).
It is special to our family because after losing two babies
Vivian's mother was told she couldn't have any more children.
So, while she was pregnant with Vivian, she made this gown
to bury her baby in, expecting that her baby would not live.
Obviously, Vivian not only lived, but she thrived and this gown
has since been worn by my Dad and his sister and all of
their children (including me) and grandchildren.
We were thrilled that Charlotte could still fit into
it and hope to continue the tradition with our future children!

This beautiful dress was worn by my mom
when she was a baby. I just love the simplicity
of this dress and have it hanging in Charlotte's room.

This is the gown I wore home from the hospital.
Since my parents didn't know if they were having
a boy or a girl, it was my dad's job to go out
and pick out an outfit for the new baby.
I love his choice! Charlotte looks so sweet!

My mom made this adorable sleeper gown for Charlotte.
It's made with satin fabric that is lined with flannel.
Very toasty warm and wonderful to snuggle in!

Charlotte's First Easter

As you can see, Charlotte did not lack for attention!
And she loved every minute!
