Things for eating...

Everything I touch must go in my mouth.
Immediately.
It's just a rule I have!

Like this spoon I confiscated from Mommy.

Or this cereal that Daddy is trying to feed me.

Just because it goes in my mouth,
doesn't mean it will stay there!
Cereal isn't too bad now that I have gotten
the hang of it. But since I've started making
rules about things... I've decided that Daddy is
the only person I will eat for. Mommy can certainly
try, but she has realized that once I make a rule -
I stick to it. No cereal from Mommy stays in my mouth.
Period.

Another thing I like to eat... my toes!

So yummy!

Its a two handed effort, but well worth it.

Don't tell my left foot, but my right
side is my favorite - it just tastes better!

And I like to eat the blue seal...

And the elephant's ears...

The list really does go on and on and on...

The Ocean

Wow! The ocean is thrilling!
I just loved every second in the waves!

But I still had to close my eyes when they rushed in.

So amazing!

Aunts, Uncles and Cousins... Oh My!

After our week in Savannah, we headed to
Isle of Palms, SC for a BIG family vacation.

Oma & Opa, Aunt Melissa & Uncle Andrew,
Roman & Waverly, Aunt Allison & Uncle Rockie
were all there. Plus, I met a lot of people for the
first time: Aunt Heather & Uncle John, Oma's
siblings: Uncle Roy, Jo-Jo, Big Mike and Mimi.
Daddy's cousins: Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Liz,
Aunt Stephanie & Uncle Rob and Uncle Edward.
And finally my cousins, Stephen & Alexis.

The three musketeers!

BFF already!

The girls!
Notice how I am almost the same size as the big kids!

Hey, wait. That's mine!

If I had a brother, his name would be Roman.
Not only because he was so gentle with me,
found toys for me to play with and loved
to make me laugh, but mainly because we
look A LOT alike! Someday I'll post a baby
picture of him for comparison.

I helped Uncle Rockie show off his tan!

I especially loved my time with Uncle John and
Aunt Heather. They found all sorts of things for me to
play with: a lime, spoons, a salt shaker AND they gave
me ice and peaches to make my gums feel better!

I got passed around a lot and really had so much fun!!!
I can't wait to see everyone again!

Water Baby!

I love water! Of course, I didn't know
that until we spent two weeks going to
the pool almost every day!

I really miss going swimming! I especially loved
my swim coach, Roman. He is a water fanatic
and can swim better than Mommy!

What I don't miss is this ridiculous getup!
Somehow, Mommy misread the size label on
my swim shirt. It was like Spanks for babies!
Look, smooth arms...

Chunky arm rolls...

Smooth arms...

Well. You get the point!

Savannah

I took my first trip to Savannah to visit my Oma
and Opa! I also finally got to meet my Aunt Melissa
and cousins, Roman and Waverly. I thought driving
to Savannah was rough, but they came from Japan
so I guess I shouldn't complain about the long drive.

These kids are a lot of fun!

Opa must coordinate with my wardrobe
consultant every day, because we always match!

Isn't my Oma so pretty? She really loves
me and I can already tell that I've got
her wrapped around my little finger!

Cereal

Now that I'm a big 5 month old
I'm starting to eat cereal.
Pretty yummy!

On second thought... I don't think so.
Doing the shut and turn maneuver

These lips are sealed tight!

Better luck next time!

5 month stats

Hello again!
I turned 5 months old this week and I decided
it was time to start on my to-do list...

First up was rolling over, unassisted. I really faked
Mommy out when I rolled over that one time a few
months ago. Soon after that I completely gave up on
rolling over until this week! Now, it's so easy - I'm a pro.
I roll over every time I find myself on my back.

I can also put my toes in my mouth. I have to try really
hard to get them there, but they are so very tasty!!!

AND... I am getting two teeth! I am not so thrilled
about this process, but Mom keeps telling me that
I should be excited! All I know is, it really hurts and
I'm going to keep telling her all about my pain, every
day and every night! No reason for me to suffer alone!

I love my toes!

Sometimes Mommy does the most ridiculous
things just to make me smile or laugh!

Look how long I am!!! I keep growing 1-2 inches
every month! Daddy calls me his line-backer!

I am working on sitting up. I can do it as long as I
get my tripod (arms and legs) set up correctly.
Please see below for all of my poses.

And, I'm down again. But those toes look so good!!!
