This is easily Charlotte's favorite part of every day!

Although, she really does love to sleep too!
She now sleeps 8 - 10 hours every night without fail!
It's amazing!!!

And that pretty much sums up her day!

Charlotte's First Bath!

Well, this was her first real bath in the big tub!

She didn't know what to think at first...

Then quickly realized that she loved it!

But dressing up as a little chickadee
is probably her favorite part!

This is a very common expression for Charlotte...
Eyebrows up and eyes wide open!
It always seems like she's saying "who, me?"

Bella didn't quite know what to think about Charlotte
leaning on her. For those that are familiar with Bella,
you know that she likes to do the leaning! Luckily, she
stuck around long enough to get some cute pictures!

Chunky Cheeks and Conversations with Mommy

Charlotte started sleeping through the night at six weeks!
Well, according to some six hours is considered sleeping
through the night, but I hold a higher standard of 8, preferably
ten hours! What can I say, I love to sleep!
She slept 8 hours straight for three nights in a row this week!
And consistently has slept at least 6 hours straight since.
Huge victory in my book and I feel like a completely different person!

Charlotte loves to contemplate life
and share all her deep thoughts with Mommy!

Trip to Ohio

Charlotte and I took a trip to Columbus, OH

to stay with my brother and his family
(Elliott, Sara, Isabelle, Madeline and Samuel)
while Adam spent a week at IU working on his MBA.
We had such a great time - I think we will go up
there any time Adam leaves town in the future!

On another exciting note, Charlotte gave me my first
HUGE smile - she looked directly at me and smiled for
a long time! She has smiled briefly before this, but
there was no mistaking that this smile was for me!
It just melted my heart!


This is Charlotte's first day with the cousins!
You can tell she doesn't know what to think of
all the commotion. It's pretty noisy compared to
our quite house! She warmed up and had a great
week. I think she missed all the activity when
we got home. Bella tries to make up for it daily : )

Charlotte fell asleep in her bouncy chair
(no doubt exhausted from all the activities)!
Samuel decided to load her up with all of his
stuffed animals and his blanky for her nap!
He was so thoughtful and sweet to share his
most prized possessions with Charlotte!
